Wayne Hitchens

As the Principal Adviser in the practice, Wayne is responsible for providing strategic advice to clients and advising across intergenerational wealth transfer, business exit and succession planning, risk mitigation, wealth creation and asset protection.

Wayne liaises closely with a range of other professional partners in the areas of taxation, law, property finance and settlement.

With extensive qualifications including a Diploma in Financial Planning and International Certification in Exit Planning (CEPA), Wayne is able to advise across a broad range of financial wealth creation aspects which includes specialisation in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF).

He holds a Professional Membership on the Tax Practitioners Board and is actively engaged in voluntary community-based education work.

Wayne is married to Kim, with two adult children and loves (mostly) trying to improve his golf game.

Jesse Slater

Financial Adviser
Practice Manager

With a Bachelor of Commerce, (majoring in Accounting and Finance) and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, Jesse has worked in financial planning since 2019.

As Practice Manager Jesse oversees the practice operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows across the team.

Specialising in superannuation strategies and investment portfolio planning, Jesse provides financial advice and implements strategic financial plans for clients across both public and private sectors.

Jesse’s interest include AFL/Soccer, running, investing, reading and exploring the outdoors with his beloved Border Collie.

Francois Du Toit

Financial Adviser

Originally from South Africa, Francois gained a Diploma in Financial Planning and commenced his career in 1992.

Francois uses his significant experience to assist clients in the most important part of their financial journey – creating context around their financial decisions. By understanding his clientele, Francois is then able to create tailormade financial plans and provide the necessary ongoing support and monitoring.

His specific areas of expertise include superannuation, retirement planning, insurance, managed investments & portfolio construction and estate planning.

Francois loves life whether that be playing golf, or enjoying rugby and cricket, wildlife and nature or viewing contemporary architecture. His family and faith keep him grounded, while he does all that he does.

Stacy Hitchens

Associate Paraplanner
Client Services & Administration

Stacy has been with Cedar Wealth since 2013, initially in clients’ services and administrative roles, before developing into her current paraplanning role.

In this capacity Stacy’s strengths of exceptional attention to detail and risk advice knowledge across both personal and business insurance truly shine.

She also has a strong focus on compliance, ensuring that Cedar Wealth’s processes and advice not only meet the legal requirements for their profession but exceed the high standards that the team imposes on themselves.

When she’s not deep into financial documents Stacy enjoys travel, spirituality, hiking and personal fitness, playing the piano and painting and drawing, along with a part time volunteer bible teaching role.

Izabelle Abbott

Administrative Support
Client Services & Gen Z Comic Relief

Izabelle joined the team in 2023, bringing her strong administrative and tax preparation experience, gained working with an accounting firm in Victoria.

Izabelle expertly manages appointment schedules, client relations as well as assisting with the administrative side of the financial planning.

She lists her areas of expertise as being a 90’s fashion guru and managing Wayne, and recently nominated herself for Supporting Admin Employee of the year.

Izabelle loves to read (member of 2 book clubs), and gardening is a passion.
